Following a Diagnostic Assessment of the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE)’s supervisory data architecture, conducted in October 2022, NBE has been working with Talanta Kumi (Talanta 10) and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) to develop a prototype that will automate collection, processing, management, and analysis of data for digital financial services (DFS).
The prototype dubbed the DFS Portal, will achieve data automation, yet prioritizing use cases involving supervisory reporting for service providers.
Using innovative technology, Talanta 10 is revolutionizing the way central banks in emerging economies collect and analyze data. Our solution will provide real-time insights and transaction-level insights, empowering more informed decision-making and enhancing central banks’ regulatory and supervisory capacity.
By automating the data collection and analysis process, our SupTech solution will streamline supervisory operations, providing unparalleled accuracy and efficiency.
With our cutting-edge technology and dedication to innovation, we're proud to be at the forefront of the exciting data and technological revolution that is transforming financial regulation and supervision in Africa and the Pacific regions.
The deployment of the DFS Portal is an important milestone in implementation of the Data Architecture Diagnostic Assessment project, where Talanta 10 is responsible for developing not only a scope of work for an ideal DFS SupTech solution, but also develop a proof of concept (prototype) for financial institutions to learn from, as a way to automate DFS data and transform its supervisory data architecture.
